Morning tidbits, plus headlines from around the Internet on Georgia Tech.
Fun With Numbers
5- The next five games for Tech- Boston College, BYU, at Maryland, at North Carolina and at home against Duke obviously will determine the rest of the season. The Yellow Jackets must go 4-1 to avoid having to defeat Georgia on Nov. 24 in Athens to reach a bowl game for the 16th straight season.
117- Boston College’s rank against the run nationally. The Eagles also lost 34-31 on the road to Army last week, a team that was soundly defeated by FCS foe Stony Brook and have to play at an angry Florida State this weekend before heading to Atlanta on Oct. 20. The Yellow Jackets have the nation’s third-ranked rushing offense.
3- The number of times Tech has won at Clemson since 1999. The Yellow Jackets are 6-2 in Atlanta against the Tigers and 1-0 in Tampa (2009 ACC Championship Game).
