New Slogan for 2011

  • "Engineered for Success" was chosen as GT's official slogan for the '11 season. But based on yesterday's events I think we should come up with an unofficial slogan.

    I'll start it if with this suggestion that references the games and championship we won but were taken away and how these events have unified the team, school and fan base:: "Won Heartbeat"

    What are your ideas?

    This is why I do not like to make fun when other schools get probation or are in trouble of some kind. You never know when it could be your turn.bangheadcry Not so freaking funnyfrustrated

    GOD DANG! We didn't need this sheet with starting a new coach in basketball and our football team starting a new season. Good thing, we didn't lose any scholarships, possible bowl invites, or TV games.

    From everything being reported and the response by the GT leadership at the press conference, it doesn't feel to me like GT cheated at all. I got pretty upset when I first heard rumblings yesterday. If I ever thought GT cheated, I would turn in my fan card and probably just give up on sports all together. But, after everything was said yesterday, I'm still a fan and now I'm just mad at the NCAA for making this a big deal when you've got players and recruits all over the place with wads of cash and vehicles along with Sports and Leisure Studies majors and the NCAA does nothing.

    AGREED!!! When is giving a family memeber clothing a crime?? sports or no sports. This is the info Tech had to go on regarding the two players involved

    Family members I would think not, but you have two others that were not family members that provide things to player(s).

    But thats what the Lairyers said to the decision makers at the time a couple of days before our biggest game of the year. They have been there the whole season and you would too. probably take there word at it. I know I would.

    This comes back to the higher ups each time. If I personally hired these guys I would make sure that they were competed in the NCAA rules.

  • GOLD RUSH! We are the top rushing team in the Nation, hands down. Certainly would fit if we continue to put up big rushing stats, which a CPJ offense will.

    How about "pry it off my finger". Nah...that probably wouldn't sit right with the NCAA. Next we'd have to sit out half the team because the door man opened the door for some players but refused a tip. Those NCAA dicks have too much power!

  • I say our slogan should be EFF YOU. We should redo Grant field with a huge picture of a 1 finger salute on the 50 yard line and on that extended middle finger should be large 2009 ACC championship ring.

    We need to take the NCAA to the cornfields like Nicky in "Casino"
